PICNIC POSSE

A fashion brand created by textile designer Siff Pristed and graphic designer Emilie Carlsen. The first FLOCK collection Picnic Posse was released during Copenhagen Fashionweek in August 2016.

The FLOCK look is expressive and lives in the contrast between simple functional silhouettes, and the complexity of the patterns and color rich textiles. The designs are thought to be puzzle pieces and sub-elements with and endless array of combinations, regardless gender and style. FLOCK is inspired by the basic shapes that have occurred throughout the history of workwear in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

The fusion between tradition and technology is an apparent core value for FLOCK in their merging of analogous handicraft and digital printing techniques. An ambition for the duo is to spark life to this common interest in tactile and surface rich graphic expressions, where every single style is uniquely appreciated. Further, they wish to challenge the inherent Nordic disdain of color and instead stimulate audiences through sensory patterns and colours. With a highly visual, print and shape based look - FLOCK intends to breathe new life to the textile design and fashion in the digital age.
